Drew is the Chief Growth Officer – and in his roll he brings that little something extra- the laniappe, the heart and soul, and driving force to Premier. He is committed to providing his clients with the most comprehensive and seamless customer experience available.  On any given day, he can be overheard in the office saying, “Don’t forget that every single patient is someone’s mother, brother, father or sister.”   Drew is diligent in his work, coupled with the highest level of integrity – which he holds as a core value.  He empowers those who work alongside him and helps guide them with one goal in mind:  Patients always come first.

After working in the diagnostic radiology business for several years, Drew felt something was missing from the industry.  This void – along with his genuine love for making connections with people and compassion for others, led to his co-founding of Premier Radiology Services in 2006.

Drew’s greatest accomplishment in life is his family.  He and his wife, Michelle have been together for 20 years, and have three beautiful children:  Noah, Chloe and Ava.  Drew and his family are driven by their mantra: Work hard, play hard.  They enjoy traveling and discovering new and interesting places around the globe.  According to Drew and Michelle, there is nothing better than seeing the world through the eyes of their children.

Jonathan S. Luchs, MD FACR is one of the Medical Directors of Premier Radiology Services. Dr. Luchs joined years after its inception however when he joined he brought his experience in Radiology business and his expertise in Radiology in particular Musculoskeletal Radiology and quickly climbed the ranks to become partner. Dr. Luchs is also the physician liaison to the marketing and business development team.

Dr. Luchs started his Radiology career in academic medicine teaching, doing research and presenting at numerous national medical conferences. Dr. Luchs was Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology, Director of Outpatient Imaging and Radiology Residency Director at a hospital local to him in New York. Dr. Luchs has published over 30 research papers in peer reviewed journals and has given more than 60 research presentation at national medical conferences. Dr. Luchs has also been invited and given lectures at national medical conferences and Grand Rounds at well know institutions more than 25 times. He has published books chapters and is a co-author of a medical book on cutting cost and teaching the cost of medical imaging (“Cost Effective Diagnostic Imaging”). During his career Dr. Luchs has been an active member of the world of organized radiology. He sat on and chaired numerous national committees for the American College of Radiology and the Society of Skeletal Radiology with a particular interest in Socioeconomics, Imaging Appropriateness Criteria and Imaging Standards and Guidelines. Dr. Luchs left the academic world to peruse his career in the private sector and dedicate his time to patient care and business development but has not stopped lecturing. He is still invited to national medical conferences such as the American Roentgen Ray society to lecture and is still an active member in organized radiology such as the leadership of the Society of Skeletal Radiology.

One of Dr. Luchs interests in the field of Musculoskeletal Radiology is Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. He trained as a fellow at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in NY, NY. Whilst there his training included all modalities of musculoskeletal/orthopedic/spine images as well as Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. He brought his talent and knowledge of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound to the community and has helped to bring it to the national stage with his research and his teachings. He taught Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at a local ultrasound technologist school for several years and was an Instructor at the Society of Skeletal Radiology Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course for several years.

Dr. Luchs has received several awards/honors throughout his career from Certificates of Merits, Attending of the Year to being asked and accepting the position of Oral Board Examiner for the America Board of Radiology. However, the one he is most proud is Fellowship in the America College of Radiology. This Fellowship is an honor less than 10% of all radiologist throughout the country will ever be offered throughout their career.

When Dr. Luchs is not caring for patients by reading their imaging studies, lecturing, being an active member in the organized radiology, performing his duties as Medical Director at Premier or being an active member of the Premier marketing and business development team he enjoys spending time with his family as well as painting, drawing and photography.Jonathan S. Gil Patino is a Co-founder and Director of Operations of Premier Radiology Services.

Premier was established in 2006 to help patients obtain diagnostic reports in a timely manner and directly influence their level of care. To accomplish this Gil knew it was necessary to create and manage a PACS platform that would allow Radiologist to solely focus on what they do best, Producing quality diagnostic reports, NOT having to deal with the everyday distractions of the radiology world.

Gil’s dedication and commitment is to drive the operational side of Premier Radiology Services to achieve the highest level of quality interpretations in tele radiology.  Gil’s talent creating workflows, developing information technology, as well as optimizing the company’s performance and efficiency allow him to lead Premiers efforts to continuously improve.  His enjoyment of teaching and training allows him to develop understanding and relationships with staff, radiologists as well as clients every day.

Gil’s initial entry to the diagnostic world was as an MRI marketing representative for an MRI facility in Miami, Florida.  As a representative in the MRI services industry he learned the functionality of the PACS platform and excelled in his market and became a highly sought after talent in the area because of his strategy and marketing expertise. It was in this capacity that Gil met and partnered with the like-minded Drew Gaudet and their partnership continues today as the business partners and original co-founders of Premier Radiology Services. Gil developed a deep interest in the technology aspects of the PACS environment after seeing first-hand the disconnect between the MRI facilities, diagnostic Radiologists, Referring Physicians and ultimately the patients. He was among the first MRI companies that utilized their PACS system to bring the images directly to the Referring Physician offices of which Gil was an important catalyst for.  The decision to create Premier Radiology services was born out of the recognition of the gaps and inefficiency that the co-founders saw in the system which was supposed to be working toward the goal of patient care, but often fell short.  Premier continues to strive to bridge the gaps in the tele radiology industry to deliver premier patient care.

Born and raised in Queens, NY Gil quickly learned the art of adapting to your environment as he worked in his father’s various companies in the U.S. and abroad gaining international knowledge and expertise.  He currently resides in Miami, Florida at Premier Radiology’s corporate headquarters. In his time off he enjoys travel to places around the world that enrich his knowledge of different cultures, technologies and processes.

Dr.Fortgang has been with Premier Radiology Services almost since its inception.  He has brought a blend of high quality radiology skill, with a keen sense of the direction of health care. Early in his career he did a Surgical internship followed by a radiology residency and then a fellowship in Interventional Radiology.  Seeing this side of things rooted him in the understanding of how the roll of the radiologist is directly connected to the wellbeing of the patient. After a stint as chief resident at Los Angeles County Hospital/ University of Southern California he was brought to South Florida to augment an interventional practice at a radiology group that grew to cover several hospitals and facilities that provided both level 1 and 2 trauma coverage.  Over time Dr. Fortgang became Vice president of the group, started a MSO, and continued to practice radiology.  For several years he was Chief of Radiology at a 300 bed hospital. In this roll he researched and recommended equipment as well as developed protocols and participated in the hiring practices and building a first class radiology department. As a physician in a trauma practice his decisive nature and eagerness to continue to learn has given him a firm foundation for building a top class teleradiology practice. The nature of interventional radiology is all about decisions and actions that need to be rapid and correct. This mentality fits well with Dr. Fortgang’s eagerness to embrace new technologies as well as maintaining core competencies. He provides skilled readings in MSK studies, neuroradiology studies, body imaging studies and B reads.  The doctor is comfortable in consultation with referring physicians and other providers.

Dr. Fortgang also has continuing experience in legal work which grew out of an interest in what drives medical malpractice claims.  The legal work has grown to include plaintiff and defense work as well as a work product called Age of Injury (AOI).

As a partner in the PRS, Dr. Fortgang is creating a new type of radiology group.  We call it a Virtual Radiology Group.  While we do not work side by side as many did in a hospital, we feel strongly that collegial practice provides the best service and resulting outcomes for our patients.  We consider that we are not only reading studies, but are truly practicing medicine and have a huge input in our patient’s outcome. We strive to elevate the real and perceived quality of any facility, center, or company by doing our best and taking excellent care of the patient.  As Premier’s Medical Director, Dr. Fortgang problem solves daily and reviews our radiologists work at all levels of QA. At the same time, we understand that the practice of medicine is evolving and we need to provide a continued best service at less cost. Dr. Fortgang has consulted on and engaged in creating our state of the art technology platform.  This technology platform is augmented by our professional staff.  Dr. Fortgang feels strongly that we always need to improve our systems and service and works hard to make that a reality. His and our goal is always excellence in everything we do.

As the Director of Physician Services at Premier Radiology Nikki Francis plans, coordinates, directs, and supervises various elements of the Physician Practice. She is responsible for Patient Services, developing business strategies, and maintaining day to day effective and efficient operations of those served. Her technical background and training provider her with the skills and dedication to provide leadership, direction and ongoing administration and management for all aspects of Physician Services at Premier Radiology.

Previous work experience has provided her with a background managing the day-to-day operational needs of existing telecardiology clients and new clients while serving as liaison between client, physician moonlighter and corporate teams. She also worked to coordinate and develop multiple schedules between clients and physician moonlighters, managing work queues and reading lists of assigned client bases, key contacts for client-related and internal issues to proactively identify solutions to resolve issues as needed to ensure client retention and satisfaction while utilizing excellent communication skills.

Nikki holds a degree and certificate in Business Computer Programming with a Microcomputer Specialty, as well as a degree in Administrative Office Technology.

 

Nakia is the rhythm of the company – or in layman’s terms “Practice Manager.”  Nakia has always kept close to heart the morals her grandmother instilled in her such as “always treat people how you want to be treated, people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Nakia is industrious in her position and is very proud of the work she does.

Nakia started at a very young age from humble beginnings on the 4th floor medical/surgical ward at Roper Hospital. This section of the hospital was nicknamed “The Wild Wild West” because an individual needed to have the delicate balance of having both tough skin and a deep compassion for the patients being treated in the era when HIV/AIDS was in ongoing research stage.  Unbeknownst to her, this would be the time she began to hone her craft for compassion and empathy for people. Nakia continued her career in medicine by working in high volume medical clinics where she sharpened her skills.

Nakia is the proud mother of two very beautiful daughters in whom she has instilled the core values and morals taught to her by the phenomenal women in her family.  Nakia’s mottos include:  “Never take for granted what God has blessed upon you always remain humble!”  “Always treat people with respect!”  “Work hard at everything you do!” “It can take you 20 years to build your reputation and only 5 minutes to destroy it.”  Nakia gives back to her community performing various acts of charity as a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, The Order of The Golden Circle of Perfection and Daughter of Isis.

Growing up in a military family, Nikki had the fortune of traveling throughout Europe as an impressionable young lady.  Already bilingual in English and German, she also learned to speak French, Spanish and some Arabic before graduating high school with dreams of becoming a translator for NATO in the Air Force.  While her career in the military did not come to fruition, she certainly owned up to her abilities as a translator in surprising and fantastic ways.

Nikki’s professional journey is one of multifaceted and diverse administrative assisting that spans 35 years and is based on her intuition and affinity for humanity.  From her beginning at Alabama’s first racially integrated civil rights law firm in the capitol of Montgomery to her work with government agencies and major corporations to showcasing her talents and providing energetic support in the field of healthcare, Nikki’s main focus remains to have a positive impact on the end-user.  Nikki’s mottos are 1) We’re not just offering a service, we’re an integral part of the patient’s course of care; 2) Let’s stop regarding people as numbers and start honoring them as fellow human beings; 3) Whatever you send into the universe comes back…choose wisely.

Nikki is a three-time cancer survivor, the mother of two exceptional young men, the wife of a wonderful man and the soon-to-be-first-time grandmother of a magical little girl.  She resides in Florida next to a lake within a bird sanctuary where she creates art from recycled items, writes, and provides energetic healing sessions to those in need.  Nikki also works remotely for Premier Radiology Services as a night shift supervisor and human resources facilitator in her spare time with an emphasis on helping team members realize their full potential for the betterment of themselves and the company’s end-users.
