Corporate Radiology Safety Officer (RSO) Program
Our Corporate Radiology Safety Officer (RSO) is responsible for the implementation, coordination, and day-to-day oversight of the radiology procedure protocol. In addition, the RSO has the authority to enforce radiation policies and procedures regarding radiation safety and regulatory compliance of the use of ionizing radiation.
The RSO is not responsible for the direct supervision of individuals using ionizing radiation in their daily routines. These individuals are supervised (under RSO oversight) by other “radiation safety team” members.
